The Alvamar Public Golf Course is a 7,000 yard course with large greens and wide, well-manicured fairways, making it a great place for beginning golfers. Divided into two 9-hole courses, the course is ideal for a quick nine holes or a full game. The course is located just west of the University of Kansas campus, adjacent to the private Alvamar Country Club.
