Burcham Park is best known for its carefully preserved cottonwood forest, one of the best in the state. Visitors to the park can enjoy a half-mile trek through this lovely forest en route to the enjoyable Constant Park, which is primarily an open space for family and group activities. The park is located along the Kansas River, across the water from Lawrence Riverfront Park.
