The 45-acre "Dad" Perry Park offers outdoor-enthusiasts beautiful naturally wooded areas to explore, as well as numerous nature trails that meander through the park. It is named after L.R. Perry, often considered the father of gymnastics in the state. The park is located north of Alvamar Golf Club, near the western edge of the University of Kansas.
